MusicNewsAzealia Banks blasts Nicki Minaj over Miley Cyrus feud‘how u gonna complain about a video with skinny women when ur body is enhanced... You too were once a skinny woman’ShareLink copied ✔️October 9, 2015MusicNewsTextDominique Sisley In what is probably the least surprising news of the day (week, month, year, etc.), Azealia Banks has sparked up some controversy over the feud between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus – and is now accusing the “Anaconda” rapper of failing to speak out on cultural appropriation until she was the “victim”. The dig comes as a response to Minaj's recent interview with New York Times Magazine, in which she claims that Cyrus was enjoying African American culture while refusing to address its problems. “You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important?... You shouldn’t not want to know that.” Cyrus had previously dismissed Minaj's initial complaints about missing out on a VMA nomination because of her race and body type – and had called the rapper “angry”, “jealous” and “impolite” for speaking out on the issue. Banks – who has not been involved in the drama up to this point – was quick to give her opinion on the matter, claiming that Minaj was being hypocritical. She wrote on her Twitter yesterday: “I wish Nic would stop trying to turn this Miley thing into a race issue cuz she was mute about cultural approp. until she became ‘victim’... How u gonna complain about a video with skinny women when ur body is enhanced... You too were once a skinny woman.” She continued: “Not every black woman can afford enhancements so it's not fair to other girls to make it about that... This isn't about race. if it were she would've said something when the industry was trying to wipe her out with vanilla wife.” Read all the tweets below: I wish Nic would stop trying to turn this Miley thing into a race issue cuz she was mute about cultural approp. until she became "victim"— azealiabanks (@AZEALIABANKS) October 7, 2015Plus how u gonna complain about a video with skinny women when ur body is enhanced ..
