Neither did Cardi BHigh fashion curtain bangs filled the runway, and the front row, at Mugler SS25 in ParisShareLink copied ✔️September 26, 2024September 26, 2024TextAlex PetersBeauty looks at Mugler SS25 No one could see anything at the Mugler show this season. Taking place in Paris, Casey Cadwallader presented a collection of classic 90s Mugler silhouettes, with sharp tailoring and bulbous curves. Sitting front row to watch the presentation was Cardi B – although how much she could actually see is up for debate, since her eyes were almost entirely obscured by a striking hair look. While most of it was slicked back into a tight bun, the front pieces of hair fell in front of Cardi’s face into an angled point blocking the eyes. Equal parts fun, chic and impractical, the style was a high fashion take on 90s boyband curtain bangs. Speaking to Dazed at the show, Cardi (half) joked, “I can’t see nothing, I can’t see nothing, I’m practically not even going to see the show.” The make-up played second-fiddle to the hair but still didn’t disappoint with a stark black lip liner paired with a clear glossy lip for a minimalist but striking look. Cardi’s wig was created by Zhou Xue Ming, who was also in charge of the hair looks for the models, many of whom wore similar wig pieces. The Chinese hairstylist, wig maker and artist is known for his avant-garde approach and otherworldly designs, which were very much on display on the runway. The models’ wigs were even more extreme than Cardi’s, reaching down past the nose to hit their mouths. Cardi’s hairstylist has been working overtime this fashion week. Yesterday, the rapper sat front row at Rabanne with long, long hair that was part Shakira, part Lady Godiva. Only weeks after she gave birth to her third child, Cardi is already back on the fashion circuit and serving looks.
