"I'd like people to see lycra and leotards and think of me - I embrace lycra this way. I think it's nice to have something that people recognise as being you. I dress simply and basically always wear the same thing, lycra leotards and unitards… and when you wear a unitard it's really just like being naked. It's very important for your look to work for you, in CSS we're not thematic, none of us care about fashion too much but we have individual styles. My look is very creative and funny and I like to think it's unique and individual… I don't like the idea of looking killer or sexy. I like looking awkward, to wear an awkward mix of shapes and colour combinations, it's nice to be pretty but it's more interesting to make an impact. I get very excited about the idea of making very big clothes, with strange proportions and a lot of volume. It's not about trying to look weird or wacky, it's just about making good choices and wearing clothing that reflects something about you.
I'm not into the concept of stage personas, I think I'm always being myself, but in different situations people behave differently - around our parents, friends, boyfriends and audiences. I like to communicate with the audience and ask questions, it's like child entertainiment… and seeing people smiling makes me happy. On stage I really want to entertain people, I dance a lot and never stop looking at the audience - I look at people directly and get eye contact. It's very honest. What's really solid with me is my honesty - it's not my voice, it's not amazing. You have to hold onto what you've got and really use it, so I use my honesty."
Lyrics to 'Let's make love and listen to death from above' - "Come and erase me, take me with you. Kiss me I'm drunk, don't worry it's true. I want to show you how mad is my love. Come and attack me it's not gonna hurt. Fright-me, deny-me if I fear when you are close. Let's make love and listen to death from above."
