Some like-minded St Martins students have taken over the already fairly creepy basement of Shoreditch Town Hall and transformed it into an immersive art experience that muses upon the damaging mental effects of years spent in solitary confinement. Taking Alexandre Dumas's classic novel The Count Of Monte Cristo as their shared point of reference (which tells the story of the an innocent man's 14-year imprisonment), all of the artists involved riff on the theme of isolation in site-specific works that are challenging and emotionally convincing. We stepped into the darkness with curators and participating artists Dina Varpahovsky and Ute Schleicher to talk about the politics of loneliness...

Based on integral artistic experiences, Bossini Pithod's collections always represent a global process in which the designer likes to get totally involved: designing the garments and prints, taking the photographs and even writing the words about it to work as a mood text. All these factors together make it impossible to deny the influence of Bossini's background in Fine Arts.

 Here, the Argentinian designer explores once again the limits beyond the classical gentlemen's wardrobe, giving it a new twist with the shapes and materials but also with the image of those eternal bohemian teens portrayed in his campaign, whose main aim is to dress as a gentleman does these days.

Jessica May Underwood dabbles in print, logo, embellishment and independently commissioned illustrations. With clients ranging from international fashion houses to small businesses, her work has been featured in the collections of Alexander McQueen, Hermione DePaula and most recently House of Holland. A fan of Romanticism, she has also been influenced by Alan Lee, Mervyn Peake, Mucha, Beardsley, creating everything from music videos and business logos, to fabric and print designs.

Danish music lover Kasper Bjørke from Copenhagen has spent a decade as a producer / DJ, and now the 33-year-old is taking on two musical projects, with his analogue disco project as 'Kasper Bjørke', while his techno and minimal / house alterego exists as 'Kasper Bjørke & His Friendly Ghost'. Having just finished working on his second album 'Standing on top of Utopia' which is set for release early next year on the new HFN music imprint, he is now releasing his first single “Young Again” featuring the indie singer Jacob Bellens, with remixes from WhoMadeWho, Serge Santiago and Lopazz & Zarook, accompanied by a beautiful music video by Swiss multi artist Florence Tetiér and the Fortune Collective.

Here we show an extended selection of images from the Cerruti archives, images that Cerruti Women's new creative director Richard Nicoll will probably have perused in preparation for his first collection for the house that will be presented in March.

The Zineswap project run by Gordon Armstrong and Rob Pearts out of a bedroom in Hackney aims to provide a worldwide zine swapping resource, and a vast contemporary archive of zines. However, Zineswap isn’t paying the bills just yet. “We get nothing out of it," says Armstrong. "In fact, we pay for the postage – unless people actually follow the instructions and send a self-addressed envelope, which they mostly don’t. But we don’t mind.” The entire ethos behind Zineswap seems to be one far removed from money. “Rob gave a friend of ours a bike frame and he offered us some money," says Gordon. "We said we’d actually prefer a filing cabinet, so now we’re officially zineophiles!”

So far their second-hand filing cabinet holds about 200 zines, which the boys began collecting officially in November 2008. In September this year they held their first event at the Tate Britain. “The Tate was a weird one," says Gordon. "There were all these people, kids a... article continues »

We wrote about Boudicca's construction and documentation of the Tornado dress, which went into the window of Matches in September, with the accompanying film playing alongside it. Filmmaker Ben Bannister made the film incorporating a lot of CGI work to fully realise the rapid movement of the paper, wires and ribbon wrapping around the mannequin. Here is the video that has now been fully soundtracked and finished.

In other Boudicca news, Zowie Broach and Brian Kirkby have continued their fascination with video presentation with their S/S 10 lookbook. Entitled 'Real Girl', on the Boudicca website, you can see all the looks of S/S 10 in stop motion movement to get a better feel of all the angles of the garments.
