Taking place in a Cyberpunk-esque universe, where Grimes presumably feels right at home, the video sees the pair — joined by Jazzelle (@uglyworldwide), Dazed 100 alum Princess Gollum, and Ryan Destiny — kick off the night with some video games, before taking a flying Uber to the club. The intergalactic bop follows another sci-fi themed video for the Planet Her track “Kiss Me More”, which similarly ends with Doja Cat playing video games on another planet, alongside the track’s guest star, SZA. Set to arrive in full on June 25, Planet Her will also feature appearances from Ariana Grande, Young Thug, The Weeknd, and JID, as revealed alongside the record’s David LaChapelle-shot visuals earlier this week. Watch the video for “Need To Know” below, and get a glimpse into a night out in space, which — in Grimes’ ideal future, as predicted by her boyfriend, Elon Musk — could be coming IRL sooner than you think.
