EXCLUSIVE SHOOT: Richard Nicoll For Topshop

From the first dance to the drunken fumble in the early hours, everyone loves a wedding. For the man to dress the big day this summer, look no further than Richard Nicoll.

The NEWGEN designer’s line of wedding dresses is quintessentially him. The British-born, Australia-raised designer’s deliciously girlish style lends itself perfectly to his capsule collection for Topshop, his seventh collaboration with the high street giant aptly named 'Tie the Knot'.

Designing for Brides with attitude – no meringues here! – Nicoll has steered clear of cliché wedding white, instead opting for saccharine pastel shades of blush, baby blue and cream. The bridal gowns closely echo his S/S13 collection with its layers, sheer overlays and 60's pop touches, but this time with georgette underskirts, fitted silk bodices, peplums and babydoll dresses.

Casual, cool and versatile, these looks are perfect for being worn more than once – and you don’t have to be the one walking up an aisle to rock one.

With his first menswear presentation last Sunday a resounding success, Nicoll took time out of his hectic schedule to answer a few quick-fire questions for Dazed Digital.

Dazed Digital: What songs get you dancing at a wedding?
Richard Nicoll: Anything will, with appropriate amounts of booze.

DD: Who is your dream wedding date?
Richard Nicoll: Sean Penn.

DD: If you were a wedding singer, what would you sing?
Richard Nicoll: 'I Only Have Eyes For You' by The Flamingos.

DD: Who is your all time favourite bride?
Richard Nicoll: La Cicciolina.
