With Berlin Fashion Week about to kick off, the Berlin projecktGALERIE  has launched an exhibition of Dutch model Iekeliene Stange’s most personal photographic works. The exhibition, ‘I like ponies’ opened last night with a fittingly fashionable party and will run throughout the course of fashion week giving visitors a glimpse into Stange’s everyday life. Based on a series of Polariods, the exhibition also coincides with the opening of the projektGALERIE’s sales & shopping boutique.

Known for her quirky sense of humour and unconventional approach to fashion, Stange’s work holds elements of the surreal and the absurd, and gives visitors and intimate invitation into her off beat world. Using instant photography as her medium, Stange’s collection is stained in vivid colours and captures an ethereal world in which imagination allows the mundane to transform into something wonderful and infinitely improbable. More accustomed to snapping the bustling backstage at fashion shows, Stange’s exhibition is an exploration of the more unique, intangible goings on of her peculiar, unpredictable world.

‘I like ponies’ by Iekeliene Stange opens daily from 11am-8pm at the projektGALERIE showrooms, Torstrasse 96, Berlin.
