To celebrate the opening of Armani Exchange's new shop on Regent Street, Dazed & Confused's Matt Irwin spent several days following nearly twenty of today's most sought-after young models around London and New York. "I was really excited when I was approached to make this film," say Matt. "Super-8 just seemed like the right choice - I never shoot digital and I've always worked with film. Super-8 is a complete luxury - it's costly and time-consuming, but the end result is so beautiful. "There is no narrative in the film - the cast create it for themselves. There was no acting or rehearsing anything - it was more a case of turning up and filming them as they were. I've always been inspired by music videos - I used to watch and record the ITV Chart Show every week, spending the following week watching the videos over and over again. Producing this film has been a brilliant oppurtunity to marry what I'm doing in my own work right now with moving image. Making the film in black and white was a homage to the classic Armani ads."
