Qasimi's Higher Being

Fledgling label Qasimi burst onto the fashion scene with their debut A/W 08 collection for both men’s and womenswear. Directional and unique, Qasimi’s menswear S/S 10 range leads a fiercely provocative dalliance between fashion and masculinity, challenging traditional notions of men’s style in an attempt to redefine the boundaries of menswear. Bending accepted social paradigms to create a fresh mould, Qasimi combines luxury tailoring with soft silhouettes, body hugging shapes, Middle Eastern style drapery and spangled embellishments. Inspired by the idea of a ‘higher being’ this season sees the Qasimi presentation coupled with a hauntingly spiritual film shot by Mariano Vivanco.
