It seems that after being established for so long, KTZ, in-house label of cult fashion emporium Kokon To Zai is finally getting the platform it deserves, having secured New Gen sponsorship for their A/W 09 collection, "Future Ghost Tribal". Designers Marjan Pejoski and Sasko Bezovski have once again made their hard-edged club kid pieces to reflect a plethora of influences and motifs; armour, coinage, studding, Aztec/Mayan designs.

Dazed Digital: How did it feel to get New Gen sponsorship for this season for the first time?
KTZ: Amazing and a real incentive to push forward, and also a nice recognition for all the hardwork put in over the years.

DD: For Marjan, specifically, how do you balance what you do for your own label and what you do for KTZ?
Marjan Pejoski: Per aspera ad astra!

DD: it seems KTZ has developed beyond being a streetwear or dare I say "nu-rave-associated" label to being something with a real fashion forward direction - was that a conscious decision?
KTZ: We moved with the times...

DD:How did all the Aztec/Mayan influences come about for the new collection?
KTZ: The range has a distinct 90s feel and these distinct images were used in that era.

DD: How do you see KTZ, the label developing in the future?
KTZ: Pushing foward with this latest edgiest craziest mivements whilst retaining its key features of energy....
