Behind the Seams

Last night saw the launch of Behind the Seams an exhibition which takes an exploratory peak into the workspaces and homes of various women from the fashion industry.   The photographs shot by Alistair Guy offer an insight into the daily lives of designers, writers, illustrators, stylists and muses taken in their natural environment in the build up to London Fashion Week (February 09).

Hannah Marshall is captured taking a pause from work in her studio dressed in her signature all black attire and designer Ben Grimes is caught mid morning puffing away merrily on a cigarette at her flat in East London.  With each image offering a short prologue into the creative life of the individual you sense that no two images are the same.

The exhibition runs from 17 April 09 at Tapestry Gallery, 51-52 Frith Street, London
